One needs to bear in mind that, essentially, we are a non-selective school:

60% of our pupils would not get into Grammar Schools!

• Our flat pass rate was up on last year's at 90.5%.
• The combined percentage of A*s and As was 46.4%
• The percentage achieving A*s, As and Bs was 74.3%.
• Sixty pupils achieved an average of 8.45 passes (A*-C) per pupil.
• A*-C grades were 30% more than the national average.
• 10% of our pupils achieved straight A*s/As with two pupils achieving one of the top five marks in English Literature (there were over 36,900 candidates nationwide)..
